Nokia Siemens starts to cut 1,500 staff


On 5/8/2011, Nokia Siemens Networks announced it will start off the 1500 plan for employees.
The decision comes after the company acquired business unit of Motorola mobile network worth 1.2 billion USD (~ 24.72 trillion). The staff was laid off major parts of the unit's WiMax and GSM Motorola ago.
This move was necessary after the acquisition of Motorola's network unit becomes difficult when Huawei filed to prevent the transfer. Telecommunications vendor Huawei of China fear that Nokia Siemens Networks will be the trade secrets and intellectual property that they and Motorola have partnered. This leads to the products and services of this unit will meet the situation demands low.
So, not only 1500 to 6900 that officials from the department of Motorola GSM and WiMax will be gone, but 1,200 other employees will be transferred to other departments, and WCDMA LTE which is growing successfully . The first 150 employees were laid off most of the research unit of Nokia Siemens Swindon base.
